Share
Got your new HWWH e-scooter? We know unboxing and starting up might seem a bit confusing at first. Don’t worry – I'll walk you through everything step by step.
Let's start with the basics of riding: Even if you've never ridden anything like this before, you'll get the hang of it quickly. These tips will help you feel confident from your very first ride.
Step 1: Unpack the Box
You will receive lots of things, such as:Tool kit pack、Charger、A Detachable seat、NFC key card (only for certain models)、Hanging bag You can refer to the pictures below for details.
Step 2: Unfold the Scooter&Adjust the Handlebar Height
🚨If this seems abstract, refer to the illustration below for clarity.
Unlock the vertical pole latch. ->Loosen the pole by pulling the lock backward, then pull the pole up. ->Flip the folding handle up to lock the vertical pole in place.
Open the quick-release lock. ->Move the handlebar up or down to your preferred height. ->Secure it by closing the quick-release lock firmly.
🚨Note: All our products include a user manual. You can reference it for more details.(in product page)
Step 3: Understanding the Buttons & Drive Modes (Model Specific)
🚨Only certain HWWH scooter models support the single/dual drive mode switching function.
By now, you've completed the unboxing and adjustments — you're ready to start riding!
Step 4: Remove the Kickstand
☺Take off the kickstand before riding.
Step 5: Basic Riding Skills - Getting Started (Launching)
Foot Position: Figure out which foot feels more natural to place forward on the deck. This is your perfect foot position for standing on the e-scooter.
Starting: Slowly push the accelerator/throttle.
Plant your non-dominant foot firmly near the rear fender. Gradually increase throttle pressure over 2 seconds – you should feel smooth acceleration, not jerking. The optimal startup angle is 3° incline.
That is a nice startup position.
Step 6:Accelerating
There are two throttle types:
Finger Throttle: Use your thumb to press or hook it forward to accelerate.
Twist Throttle: Rotate the grip counterclockwise to accelerate.
Step 7: Braking (Safety Focus)
Avoid sudden stops! Abrupt braking often causes falls. Instead, press both front and rear brake levers simultaneously with gradual, gentle pressure. As you brake, consciously shift your weight backward (slightly bending your knees) to increase rear wheel traction and maintain control. Remember: braking with only one wheel risks tire lock-up and skidding.
Step 8: Turning
Control turns primarily through body positioning, not sharp handlebar movements. As you enter a turn, deliberately lean your body opposite to the turn direction (e.g., lean right when turning left) to counteract centrifugal force. Simultaneously shift your weight slightly backward and downward by bending your knees – this significantly boosts stability mid-turn.
Congratulations!
